Bacore Kanteh

Bacore Kanteh has dedicated his life to the healing knowledge of West Africa's trees, leaves and plants.

His journey began in 2007 in Guinea-Bissau, where he went to learn traditional herbal medicine. He studied which trees and leaves to use, how to prepare them, and how they work together.

He brought that knowledge home to The Gambia and founded Katkot Herbal. Today, everything happens at his clinic in Coastal Road, Sandika. He makes his own preparations by hand, checks each one in his own lab at the clinic, and gives every visitor his personal advice.

He pays close attention to the person in front of him. Different people need different things, so he chooses plants to suit each person, including their skin type.

How he works

Every visit starts with a private conversation. Bacore listens first, then gives his advice personally. What you share stays between you and him.

When Bacore is travelling, you can still come to the clinic. He will speak with you by video call, and our team will prepare his recommendations for you. For simple requests, our trained team can help you straight away.
